Welcome to Love Revolution 2010, our year-long theme encouraging our Whitewater family to take God’s love beyond the walls of our facility to a hurting world. On this page you’ll find rationale behind the initiative, along with resources to help you be God’s chaplain.

2010 Mission Statement: To train and deploy Christians into existing relational networks in order to be intentional, missional chaplains through revolutionary love.

I John 3:16-19This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence.

Who, me a chaplain?! How?

Tell yourself that you are. (Your baptism certificate is your ordination certificate!)
Find one simple way to serve each day and make a difference. (“May I clean your glasses?”)
♦ Read the Bible and pray every day (Use a Faith Journal!)
Don’t serve alone (partner or gather with others to share best practices)
Write down and memorize a concise, natural testimony. (300 words or less!)
Develop an ongoing list of people you regularly see to pray for. (Place name in your journal)
View your primary ministry area as your work, neighborhood, school, sports club, etc.
Be strategic in your use of travel/commute time each day.
Journal and/or email your experiences to the church at lovestory@whitewatercrossing.org
Sign up for additional Chaplaincy 101 classes/training when offered throughout the year.
Find another Christian to 'debrief' with from time to time.
 Love unconditionally and boldly!
Remember that you are not just saved from something, but also for something!
