Faith & Deeds
Pantry Ministry

How We Operate

Faith & Deeds operates solely with an all-volunteer staff of committee members and helpers. Services and assistance are provided free of charge to those in need. In order to provide assistance to others the Pantry relies on donations from the church, community, and local businesses. Donations may be financial in nature or in the form of household goods -- groceries, personal hygiene items, general household goods, etc. Financial donations are used to offset the cost of operation (lease, insurance, utilities, etc.) and to purchase goods not already donated.

or Refering Someone for Assistance

All clients are required to schedule an appointment for services with Pantry staff. Appointments will be set during the Pantry's normal operating hours. New clients will be scheduled for an initial interview. During the interview an Application for Assistance form will be completed. Please be prepared to provide proof of identity and residence at that time. To schedule an appointment during normal hours of operation call 513-638-5024.

Facts & Figures

Faith & Deeds first opened their doors in February of this year.

In only 4 months of operation (February - June) the Pantry distributed meals to more than 500 families and individuals. Each received a 4-day supply of food (3 meals per day). The total number of meals distributed was 6,276.

64% of those served were children. 80% of those served were new clients, seeking assistance on a one-time, temporary basis.

You Can Help Faith & Deeds . . .

By donating to our Monthly Donation Drive. Drives are held the first weekend of each month at the Whitewater Crossing Christian Church, 5771 SR 128, Cleves, OH. "Suggested Donation" grocery bags are available after services the weekend before the drive. Pick one up and fill it up with the items suggested on the bag. Then drop it off at the main doors of the church either during the 5:00 Saturday evening service or at the 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services on Sunday morning. Special Note: If you miss a monthly donation day, that's okay! Canned and boxed goods may be left at the Faith & Deeds donation box just inside the main doors at any time. No frozen or perishable items please!

By donating directly to the Pantry. This is especially true when donating bulk goods, meats, and frozen items. Call 513-638-5024 for more information and to arrange a donation.

By donating your time! Are you interested in donating your time or talent? There’s always something that needs doing! Call 513-638-5024 to find out how you can help -- or drop a note to the pantry via the Saturday night or Sunday morning attendance card in the church bulletin.

By donating to one of our Special Needs Programs. Faith & Deeds offers assistance programs for families with specific needs. "Bottles to Blankets" provides food and infant care items for families with newborns and toddlers. The "Backpack Program" provides a weekend's worth of snacks and light meal items for school-age children. To find out more about these and other programs, click the "Download Sponsorship Programs Information" link in the box at left.

By donating financially. Financial contributions are used in 2 ways: (1) to cover facility costs (rent, utilities, insurance, etc.) and (2) to purchase needed food items not otherwise received by donation.
Donations may be made through the weekly offering at Whitewater Crossing Christian Church. Checks should be made payable to the church and earmarked for "Faith & Deeds" or "Pantry".

Contributions may also be made through the church's PayPal account. Just click on the link at left and follow the instructions. When prompted you can designate the donation for the Pantry in the "Notes" area of the the online payment.
