our story

Our Mission
We exist to help people find Hope in Jesus and a Home in His local church.

Our Vision
To become a fully functioning biblical community that is growing in size and quality of life as it reaches people for Christ.

Whitewater Crossing Christian Church has had quite a history. In January 1915 a group of 23 people met to establish a Bible School to be conducted on Sunday afternoons. With a membership of 48, the congregation was chartered as Westwood Cheviot Church of Christ in May 1916, and a year later the first unit of a framed building was erected on the corner of Glenmore & Meadow Avenues in Cheviot.

In 1932 a Fellowship Hall was constructed, along with the central section in the Educational Wing. In March 1951 the Sanctuary was dedicated. During the following years, the church experienced periods of growth as well as plateau. With a renewed spirit, the congregation, then averaging about 360 in attendance, voted to purchase 74 acres on Rt. 128 in Cleves, and in 2004, the church officially changed her name to Whitewater Crossing Christian Church.

On Sept. 17, 2006, ground was broken for a new $5.5 million facility. Just prior to her grand opening, Cornerstone Christian Church merged with WCCC, adding 64 members. Both congregations observed their final worship services at their former locations on November 11, 2007, and worshipped together for the first time as one congregation on November 18, 2007. The official Grand Opening was held December 2, 2007, with 1034 in attendance.

In the intervening years, God has continued to bless Whitewater Crossing with growth. The parking lot has been expanded twice and a Saturday service has been added; the congregation now averages nearly 1100 in attendance. We look forward to what God has in store!
