The Armor of God: Helmet of Salvation
But it is always great to be back at Don and I's favorite Ohio church. Thank you for being here today in person. I see some familiar faces. I see some new faces. Those of you online watching, man, I'm glad to be here.
Glad to have another bald guy up here. Josh is getting there quick, I'm just telling you right now. But my wife Donna and I are really enjoying being here, reacquainting ourselves with old friends and meeting new friends. Donna and I continue to be very busy coaching pastors and wives and churches all over the country. We're actually heading to Louisville, Kentucky later today for a pastor's retreat this week.
So I want to thank those of you who support us. We're able to do those retreats at little to no cost for churches and pastors that often can't afford it. And I owe so much to this church, which kind of gave me the platform and still gives me the, the wind beneath our wings to do stuff like that. And can I just say this really quickly about coaching, consulting other churches. I found out pretty quickly how spoiled I was here at Whitewater Crossing.
I know we're not perfect and we've had our ups and downs. We all know that. But man, there's some messed up churches out there. And I took our elders for granted. I took our staff for granted.
Well, most of the staff, I took them for granted. I took you as members for granted. Thank you for being a model of the church, working right in the ups and downs of your life. There's nothing like the church when it's working right. I still believe that and it is working right here.
And so I use you as an example. I tell our story and I am so excited that you're working right here. I see some things have not changed here. I recognize who's here by where you are sitting. You're in the same spot.
I know where you're here or absent. Some things haven't changed. The reds still stink as bad as they did when I was here. But some things have changed. Some things have changed.
There's a little bit different vibe in the tribe since I was last here. A little bit more energy, a little fuller here. That's good. I also saw, and this may be related, I don't know, but I saw that recreational weed sales began in the Buckeye State a couple of weeks ago. So we have like cannabis Christians now, I guess.
Brings a whole new meaning to Ohio. That's all I'm saying. And I don't know if the two are related when Josh came. But anyway, I just want to tell you what a phenomenal job Josh Brown is doing here. Just incredible, incredible.
What a sharp leader, a sharp preacher. I talk with him regularly, I hear. I know what it takes to do that job. I've been watching because I've been up to preach this weekend, teach this weekend. I've watched every single message on the Armor of God series.
It is some of the best sermons in preaching I have heard. I'm not kidding. And I have pretty high standard for that stuff. So I was so convicted about one of his messages, you know, watching it down in Carolina about the message where he gave you some homework to go and with your feet fitted with the piece, you know, feet of peace. Go and ask your waiter if there's something you could pray for.
You dealing with the awkward moment. I was so convicted by that I went out with a buddy and decided to do that. And I said to the waiter, hey, is there something I could pray for? Here's what the waiter said. Yes, I'm praying for the greatest tip I've ever had in my life today at your table.
So thanks, Josh, for that, like, $35 tip that day. I appreciate that. Well, we are currently in a series on spiritual warfare that is rooted in the Gospel of Ephesians, chapter 6, especially. The central idea, the idea is that we at creation God established this shalom, this wholeness, this peace, this for his kingdom and his people. But then sin entered that cosmic redemptive story and began to undermine and fight all of the wonderful peace and shalom that God had created.
And in this series, we're learning how we, as Christ followers in the army of God, are launching this bold counteroffensive to battle the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms and to rebuild and reestablish and restore and recalibrate creation back to its intended position of peace and shalom. And if you've been following, you're aware of this. But if you're new, this may be a new reality. The stark reality is that everybody here today, in person or watching online, everybody here today is involved in a spiritual conflict or battle of some kind. I never forgot when I was a preacher that when you come in on Sunday, you are having battles I know not of.
Some of them are pretty big. Some of them are not as big as they used to be. You know, they have a word for people who don't know they're in a battle or a war. You know what the word is? Victims.
Because I said it many times. The Christian life is Not a playground, it's a battleground. It's a battle for your heart and your soul. And what you're going to find out today, I hope from my teaching, is that it is a battle for your mind. Everything happens first in the mind.
You think about it before you do it. And victory is made possible. When we put on the armor of God, when we take this faithful stand against the devil and his schemes, the enemy of our souls. And Jesus provided to help us in this battle some fantastic weapons, some equipment to do the battle with the devil and his demons. And I know you've heard these verses multiple times in this series.
If you're new, this may be new to you, but let me read it one more time. Ephesians 6, verse number 10. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. I love that word, schemes.
In the King James Version, it says, so you can take your stand against the wiles of the devil. The wiles of the devil. The Greek word here, methodeo, refers to these clever strategies that are devious and deceptive. And Satan is just like that. He's a street fighter.
He doesn't strike fair. He will tempt you to sin, and then after you sin, he'll beat you up for it because you did it. He's a schemer, he's an instigator. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Can I just remind you of that?
As we come to and through the election season, you're not fighting against flesh and blood people you think are your enemies. I don't care if you're republican, Democrat, independent people are not your enemies. They're victims of the enemy. There's a big difference. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, against the rulers, against the authorities.
It's against the powers of this dark world, against. Against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, I love that. Let's see what it's there for. Put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.
And after you've done everything to stand, and then we get the list of the armor, stand firm then with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. And in addition to all this, take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation. More about that in a second. And the sword of the Spirit, that's next week, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert. Always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Pray also for me. I would say that for me.
Pray personally as well, that whenever I speak, Paul says words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel for which I am an ambassador. In what chains? Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I should. Verse 20. The last verse I read, which emphasizes chains gives us an idea of the context or the environment where, when and how Paul penned these powerful words.
Paul was undoubtedly chained to or near a Roman soldier. So he uses that as a metaphor for the soldier of Christ and lists the equipment that Paul likely saw next to him when that guy every day wore or put on his armor. In that day, when a Roman soldier put on his helmet, it was go time. It meant the battle had begun. So I want to spend the rest of my time talking about this essential piece of armor, the helmet of salvation.
And I have several helmets as props to show you what this looks. So if my armor bearers, Tristan and Tony. Guys, bring out my helmets. I have a buddy, and he doesn't want me to mention his name, but Mr. Mark Kremer, my buddy, has loaned me some helmets from his collection. And as they come out here, I want to talk a little bit about some of the characteristics that you would find in Roman times with helmets.
Now these are some serious props. This looks like something from the beer house right here, doesn't it? Right here. Thank you, guys. Let's hear it for the armor bearers.
This thing is heavy. And I said, mark, I need some helmets. He said, you need a prop for the helmets. So it's big. Go big or go home.
That's crime right there. But here are some examples, particularly a couple I want to point out. The Roman helmet, this one, and this one in particular. This kind of looks like gladiator, doesn't it? All of the helmets, but the Roman helmet in particular, very hot, very uncomfortable.
Came in various shapes and sizes, but it was generally made of bronze, fitted over an iron skull cap that was lined with leather. They usually had cheek guards of some kind that protected the places that were most likely to be hit. Oh, and I discovered, you see that red plume? I discovered in my research that helmets were worn by. By legionnaires and centurions, especially Officers wore the red crests, which were kind of made of horse hair and were dyed red.
They were on purpose that way to distinctively identify who the officers were in the midst of battle. From a distance, you could see who was moving where and why. And with his head protected by one of these helmets, a soldier was safe in the middle of a fierce battle. In fact, without one of these helmets, a soldier would be so vulnerable that the rest of the armor would be of little use. He would not be protected and he would not be identified without a helmet.
Now, this one was not in Roman times. I know you probably caught that. Our modern day version of that doing battle might be a football helmet. When a football player puts it on, it's for protection and it's for identification what team they're on. A player is vulnerable to injury and even death without a helmet.
Especially if you're a Bengal or UC team in the last quarter of the game last night. Oh, anyway. Oh, I know it's bad. I may need some helmets before it's over. But just as a soldier is not protected or identified without the helmet, so the Christian is not identified or protected without the helmet.
So I want to drill down more on the two elements of that Roman helmet that I just highlighted and draw some practical applications for you as you move forward in the battle. Whatever battle you are fighting today, I want to help you with your protection and your identification. It's just a reality that all of us need these two things. The Roman helmet had two functions, protection, identification. You need the same too.
All of us, when we start to battle with the devil, we have protection that we need in our mind because the real battle takes place in the mind. And when you put on the helmet of salvation, it identifies you as a Christ follower to the devil and any other enemies and to other Christians who will fight with you. Man, you can't fight alone, but it also protects your mind from that which the devil will send you that enters into it. Remember, temptation is not the sin. It's action and acquisition for and with the temptation.
Jesus was tempted in all ways like us, the Bible says, yet he was without sin. It is when you engage and acquiesce to it that that's when you lose the battle. So Satan attacks us with numerous darts of temptation that are amazingly personal and calculated. The devil does some private warfare with you. Some of you who've been walking with God, you know this.
He knows exactly where you are vulnerable and will tempt you accordingly. So my question to you right now, do you happen to Know where you are weakest right now. Your life. Where your most vulnerable chink in your armor of temptation is. If you don't know it, we will help you, those of us who know you.
But I guarantee he knows where it is. There are some things that worked on me while I was a pastor here and still worked on me. Some things I never attempted. I didn't have a lot of people coming up offering me drugs when I was a pastor here. I didn't have a lot of people tempting me with a lot of stuff.
But. But, boy, I was tempted by ego or pride or a workaholic spirit or having it be about me. Everybody struggles with something they're thinking about. So I have learned that you cannot give the devil a foothold. Don't give the devil a foothold in that area, because here's what happens.
A foothold can become a stronghold very quickly. So gird and guard your mind. Let learn to think wisely and make good decisions. Avoid the people and the places where you are tempted the most in your life. One of my mentors used to say, david, if you don't plan on going in the house, stay off the front porch.
That's a great learning for temptation. So wearing this helmet helps you say no to temptation and yes to salvation. That's why you put it on. No to temptation, yes to salvation. It provides salvation not only there in heaven, but it provides salvation here on earth.
You can be redeemed and rescued in your daily battles with the evil one. Now, I've been battling and working with the devil for a long time. I'm not talking about the staff that I used to work with here, okay. Although that could be. I've been battling the devil a long time, 63 years, really.
And let me tell you how he works for me, maybe not for you, but I've learned some things about how he tempts me in my mind. In your mind. In my mind. He will appear to give me what I want in exchange for a spiritual compromise. He will tempt you to meet a legitimate need in an illegitimate way, whether it's a physical need.
Just like Jesus and his temptation. He tempted to meet legitimate needs in illegitimate ways. And unless you have your mind, your helmet on, and your mind is guarded and reinforced, you will not know this and probably succumb to the temptation. Every once in a while, somebody will come up to me when I preach on this subject and say, well, David, you know, I'm really not tempted that much.
I would say that's not a good thing, brother. That's not a good thing. It means you are not a threat to him anymore. It means he's left you alone because you're already traveling down the road that he wants you on. And two people walking down the same road in the same direction seldom bump into each other.
So that means you got a problem. But if the devil is attacking you, you should take it as a compliment because the devil wouldn't be attacking you so hard if there wasn't something holy inside of you. See, thieves don't break into empty houses. Neither does Satan cause problems in a church that's dead or he just lets it go. If you have problems in this church because you're doing something right, if you have problem in your life, it means you're doing something right.
Well, David, how do I put on my helmet of salvation and guard my mind? I'm so glad you asked. Several things help, but nothing better than to read and learn and memorize and quote this, the word of God. You're going to hear about that next week. John's going to give you, I think, the sword of the spirit lesson.
Going to teach you how to handle the sword. But I tell you what I found out. A Bible that's falling apart is usually owned by someone who isn't. And whenever someone would bring a Bible to me that was new, which I love, and we love it. When you read the Bible they want me to write in, I felt so unqualified, like, you know, other people wrote the Bible, but I would be tempted again.
That's not good. So I would often write in the front of the Bible, sin will keep you from this book and this book will keep you from sin. If he can get you out of reading the Bible and praying, you see, got you where he wants you. And knowing the word, memorizing the word, quoting the word, allowing the sword of the spirit to wash over your mind daily will steal your mind from the deadly and daily arrows of doubt and lies that come your way, particularly about your own salvation. I really want to talk about this for a minute.
I think there's a reason it's called the helmet of salvation. Because some of the battle that a lot of us grew up with, especially those of us who grew up Catholic, in fact, cultural Catholics and legalistic Protestants suffer from a guilt oriented religion. I know it. They just can't get to the place where they have faith and assurance that they're actually saved. I notice a ton of this thinking, I call it stinking thinking, this fearful thinking in the Cincinnati culture and the city Back when I was the pastor here at Whitewater, people were deathly afraid.
They knew their own sin, and they knew that if they died, they're not good enough to get to heaven. True, but they lived with that fear. They were always afraid something was going to happen to them. They weren't quite sure if they were going to get to heaven. They didn't have the helmet of salvation on firmly.
I remember that I had to fly out one day to a conference in Chicago. I left Cincinnati on time. We were in the air about 90 minutes, and the captain came on the speaker and said there were some mechanical issues with the plane and we needed to go back to Cincinnati and check them out. That created quite a bit of stir among the passengers. It would with some of us.
I found it odd that we didn't just go on and land in Chicago because it's about the same time to fly all the way back to Cincinnati, but whatever. So we landed in Cincinnati. They told us to stay in our seats. They're going to check out the plane. We were sitting there about 30 minutes.
The captain came back on and said, you know, this is going to take a little longer to fix than we thought. There are some mechanical issues. If you want to get off the plane and take another flight, you can. Then people started to really chatter. A man next to me who didn't know I was a pastor, and I'm kind of glad he said, I think there's something wrong with this plane that they are not telling us.
This is our chance to get off and save our lives. He started telling Lumpy, are you getting off? You should get off. This is not good. Other people started to chatter and decide what they should do.
Are you getting off? I don't know. Am I getting off? All of a sudden, a guy in a dark suit in the front of the plane where everyone could see, got up and walked off the plane. And when he stood up and turned around to get his bag out of the overhead, we saw that he had a collar on and he was a priest.
That's when people really started chattering, because there are a lot of people from Cincinnati. A lady said, did you see that? He must know something. That priest knows something. I heard a lady back say, we're all doomed.
We're all doomed. And a bunch of people got off. So I. Even a person of faith was thinking, you know, I don't know. Should I get off?
Should I? But then my eye went over just a couple rows in front of me to a pilot who I had seen earlier Sit in his seat, who was catching a connector for his next flight. I saw that pilot get up and start walking. And I said to myself, if the pilot's going, I'm out. I don't know about the priest, but the pilot and I saw the pilot go up to the cockpit, talk to those guys for a minute, come back, sit back down, put his seatbelt on.
I said, I'm in. I'm staying. Now help me have peace. Here's what I learned. The secret to keeping shalom or peace in your life is to keep your eye on the captain.
When in doubt, keep your eye on the heavenly pilot who knows how to land the plane and your life. By the way, this is so funny. This is Cincinnati as snapshot. In just a few minutes, maybe 15 minutes, that priest came back on the plane and, and sat back down and the whole plane clapped when the priest came back down on the plane. Well, as you prepare for your own battle with the devil each day, here's what you learn.
You learn to put off that lack of confidence. You put off doubt and you put on assurance by watching and listening to Jesus. The more you read the Bible, the more you'll have confidence in, in your own salvation here and there. This is what the Bible means when it says to put on the mind of Christ, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And when you feed your mind on the truth, it gives you a mindset that brings you powerful peace and shalom of God.
I know that those of us in this room may be struggling with with what the Bible says about our salvation. So I want to read for you 1 John 5:13. This is a verse I've come back to time and time again. John says, I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life, not hope, not think. This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
We get real nervous when we're engaged with the devil because we think he has more power than us. And we know he puts us in our mind. You're not good enough. You're not going to make it to heaven. You know who you are.
We know who you are. I remember one day when I was a pastor, I received a phone call from a guy that lived down on River Road with his girlfriend, who's very distraught. He was anything but peaceful. He proceeded to tell me that there was a demon that was appearing every night in his house. And he asked me if I would come over and help him with it.
And, you know, even the way he described it scared me. I said, well, I just should give that to Dr. David Grubbs. He's the chairman of the elders. He should handle that stuff. Anyway, I said, you know what?
Let me ask a couple questions before I come over there. He said, I even got a picture of it. I said, I'd love to see that picture he sent me on my cell phone. I didn't see it was in the curtains. If he saw a demon, I didn't see a demon.
I said, tell me exactly when you see the demon. Well, it's usually late at night, usually after midnight. Usually right after we finish watching tv. I said, well, what are you watching? Well, we've been watching lately the Exorcist, Poltergeist, clue number one.
I said this. Let me ask one more question. Is alcohol involved in your evening watching? Oh, yeah, we drink a little bit, too. Strike two.
I said, well, before I come over, here's what I want you to do. Here's your homework. I want you to stop drinking and stop watching movies like that. I want you to watch every episode of Everybody Loves Raymond and that fixes everything. And read the Bible and then call me back in a week and tell me how it's going.
He never called back, actually, the devil, you know, the reality is he really doesn't want you to be scared of him. He wants you to be attracted to him. He really does. If you were to see the devil, he would not look like that Halloween character with a red tail and horns and pitchfork. He would look amazingly alluring.
The Bible says that he even masquerades as an angel of light. It's hard to tell the difference. It says that he's the prince of this world and he can dangle a lot of things in front of you. But when you put on the helmet of salvation, you can walk in the confidence of your salvation. You don't have to fear him anymore.
You can know I write these things so you know, you have eternal life. Listen, friends, you're going to heaven not because of what you've done, but because of what he's done. You can have peace and shalom when you stop trying to earn your salvation and accept it as a gift from God. Your salvation is not conditional on you keeping your promises to God. It's on him being able to keep his promise to you.
This is why Titus says this. If ever there was a verse for the west side of Cincinnati in giving you confidence and assurance in Your Faith. It's Titus 3. At one time, we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. I just described a lot of you in this room.
I don't know all your story, but I know some of your stories. That was at one time you too were. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God, our Savior appeared, he saved us not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
So that having been justified. What a great word. Just as if I'd never sinned, justified by his grace, we might become heirs, having the hope of eternal life. Friend, religion is spelled do D, O. Relationship with Jesus is spelled done.
Your salvation is secure because of Jesus, not you. In spite of what you do, wear that helmet of salvation and assurance with pride. Now, don't be arrogant or cocky, but be confident. It's not about guilt. It's about grace.
It's not about attainment, it's about atonement. It's. It's not about us doing. It's about what's already been done. Wear the helmet with pride.
So this helmet of salvation and protection and identification is a critical piece of the armor of the Christian soldier. So I am asking you to put that on every single day. I found a bizarre statistic in my research for this message. Statistics show that close to 80% of people who die in or are affected in bike crashes who suffered a head injury were not wearing a helmet. 80% people involved in bike crashes who suffered a head injury were not wearing a helmet.
I'm saying the same thing is true in the Christian life. Those that crash in bird and wreck are not wearing the helmet the way that they're supposed to. And you have to put it on for it to be effective. Listen to this. Second Corinthians, chapter 10, verse 3.
For we live. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with, these ones we're describing, Josh and I in this series, are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. Remember we talked about that.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. Notice it's in your mind. It's the knowledge of God, and I love this. And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. It all starts in the mind.
We take those thoughts of not having assurance or confidence or doubt. We take those thoughts of lust or those thoughts of wherever you're. We capture them for Jesus. We capture them in the name of Jesus. We take every thought captive and make it obedient to Jesus Christ.
So here are your marching orders. I could give homework, too, Josh. Give homework about waiters. Cost me $35 for a tip. Okay.
This is not going to cost you as much. Here's your marching orders for the week. As a soldier of Christ, here's how I'm asking you to powerfully and practically put on this piece of equipment and engage in the battle as soon as your eyes open tomorrow morning. I know some of you are not morning people. Al Duber, do you ever wake up grumpy?
Yeah, I know, Ms. Duber, sometimes you let him sleep in. But anyway, I know some of us are not morning people, but here's your homework. Every day this week, next seven days, when the alarm goes off, before you even get up and get your coffee, I want you to spend a moment and just mentally go through all of the pieces of the armor one by one and put them on in prayer. This is how it works for me. Eyes open, alarms off.
When you get older, you don't even need the alarm anymore. You just kind of wake up in prayer. I say, God, I want to stand for truth today, so I'm going to buckle this belt of truth. Help me to be a person of truth. And God, I'm gonna put on this breastplate of righteousness.
I want to be clothed with Christ and be a righteous man. God, I'm gonna lace up my feet with the readiness and the shoes of the gospel of peace. This is a powerful part of the prayer. God, show me who you want me to meet today and talk to about relationship with you. Show me.
May my feet go wherever my feet go. Help me to be open and my eyes be open to opportunities to invite somebody to Jesus in the church. It's amazing what God will do when you just say that prayer. And God, I'm going to take up my shield of faith because I've got some arrows coming my way at work today or at school today, I know they're coming my way. I'm going to place that helmet of salvation right here firmly on my head.
I'm going to move in today knowing that I'm saved. I have assurance and confidence, and the devil's not going to steal that from me anymore. And then next week, I'M going to get my sword lesson from Josh and I'm going to be able to fight the good fight of the faith. So for the next seven days, when you wake up mentally through prayer, go through every piece of that armor, start your day as an act of war and watch what happens. What you want is for the devil to, when he sees you wake up, what you want him to say, the devil to say is, oh no, he's up.
Oh no, she's awake. Before they said, get up, I got a great plan for your life. The devil might say, that's not the way it's working now. And if you do this, if you just go through this simple exercise, I promise you this last scripture here will come to pass in your life. Philippians 4, verse number 6.
This can be claimed by every single person in this room today. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God and the peace of God. The shalom of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your what minds in Christ Jesus. So for those of you watching online and those of you in this room who do not have a confident, assured relationship with Jesus, I'm not talking about a religion where you keep score a relationship with Jesus. The good news about this message, the good news about this text is that you can receive that today before you leave here.
I know some folks will be over on the ramp after service to pray. Many of us didn't know what we know now. In fact, the Bible says that the God of this age, Satan, has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light. A Charles Spurgeon famous, powerful preacher in England, he said, consider how precious a soul must be if both God and the devil are after it. So friend, just as a former guy who used to preach every now and then here, you don't have to be a victim, you can be a victor.
And for some of you watching online or even in this room, quit trying to earn your way to heaven. You're not going to make it. All of our righteousness Jesus says, is as filthy rags, but put on Christ, you don't have to do life alone. You don't have to be a victim. You can be a victor when you wear the helmet of salvation.
So next time you're down at the beer house having a beer or root beer or a meal and you might see one of those helmets, maybe that'll remind you again. You know, I haven't been wearing my helmet very much today and I am just. My heart goes out to people who don't know Jesus. And that's been the heartbeat of my life, my ministry, the time we were together. So I just want to say to anybody in this room who just stumbled in, and maybe it's your first time, you think, what in the world is going on here?
We do all this because we want to introduce you to Jesus, to a person that will change your life here and change your life there. And I know Josh has that same passion. So let me pray. God, thank you for these scriptures. Thank you, God, that you love us more than we can possibly imagine and that you've given us this armor to wear from head, literally, to toe.
So I pray, God, as we go through this week, that we would wake up each morning realizing that you have more for us than we care to even imagine. Help us to ask that. And for this church that Donna and I love so much, I pray they would continue to fight the good fight of the faith, continue to win, because you are on their side. So thank you, God, for the church when it works right. Thank you for the scriptures when they work right as well.
And we ask God, that you move among us not only in this room this day, but in every room that we will be in this week. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.
